Technical Program Manager – Enterprise Technology (Onsite – San Francisco, CA)We are seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) for our global retail client. You will lead complex, cross-functional technical programs from concept through delivery, ensuring alignment across engineering, product, infrastructure, and business stakeholders. This role requires strong ownership of program planning, risk management, resource coordination, and execution across multiple agile teams while maintaining high standards of quality and delivery.This is a 40-hour per week contract (extensions possible), onsite at the client’s office located at 2 Folsom, San Francisco, CA.This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and a 401K are offered.ResponsibilitiesProgram & Project LeadershipLead large-scale, complex technical programs from initiation through successful delivery. Develop detailed program and project plans including scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, and resource allocation. Align multiple cross-functional teams toward common program goals and delivery milestones. Manage stakeholder expectations through consistent communication and status reporting at multiple levels. Planning, Forecasting & Resource CoordinationGenerate and maintain project forecasts in PM systems, monitoring actuals and analyzing resource needs. Coordinate resource allocation to ensure project teams are properly supported. Facilitate quarterly planning processes, ensuring strategic alignment and dependency management across teams. Drive synchronization across multiple agile teams to support program success. Risk Management & Quality AssuranceIdentify, assess, and mitigate project and program risks proactively. Ensure adherence to project quality standards through rigorous validation and testing processes. Manage impediments and escalate issues to ensure continuous program momentum. Agile Program ExecutionAdvocate for and promote agile principles and methodologies across teams. Facilitate cross-team collaboration to remove dependencies and enable continuous integration and delivery. Drive continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and methodologies. Vendor & Stakeholder ManagementSupport vendor selection, engagement, and performance oversight. Coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful program execution. Tools & SystemsUtilize enterprise tools such as JIRA and Smartsheet for planning, tracking, and execution. Maintain accurate program documentation and reporting within project management systems. RequirementsProven experience as a Technical Program Manager leading complex technical initiatives from conception to completion. Strong track record of delivering large-scale, cross-functional technical programs. Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing diverse stakeholder groups. Expertise in project planning, forecasting, and resource coordination. Strong experience in risk management and quality assurance practices. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple agile teams and facilitate cross-team collaboration. Experience facilitating quarterly planning and strategic task coordination. Proficiency with JIRA, Smartsheet, and enterprise PM tools. Experience with vendor management and selection. Excellent communication, reporting, and organizational skills.
