The ideal candidate will be a strategic and innovative leader with a strong commitment to the liberal arts and sciences and public higher education. Responsibilities for the Dean include providing leadership for the School, working with faculty and staff to achieve the School's and the University's goals, and ensuring the delivery of an exceptional education that prepares students for professional success. The successful candidate will have a terminal degree in a relevant discipline, significant academic and administrative experience, and the ability to develop and lead a strategic vision for the School. Strong management, program administration, and a deep understanding of external accreditation processes are essential. The Dean will also be expected to secure external grants, manage financial resources, and build relationships with stakeholders. The Dean will be an integral part of the University's Deans' Council and must be a confident leader with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a collaborative spirit. The School of Business and Professional Studies is dedicated to providing high-impact learning experiences, and the Dean will be responsible for overseeing a diverse academic portfolio that includes undergraduate and graduate programs in various disciplines. The role requires a leader who can effectively serve as a professional in their community and field, with a focus on civic engagement, interdisciplinarity, and experiential and applied learning opportunities.
