Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling electrical components and systems with precision and efficiency, ensuring that all products meet quality standards and technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, electrical knowledge, and hands-on experience with various assembly techniques. Responsibilities
Assemble electrical components and subassemblies according to detailed schematics, technical drawings, and IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies.
Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to accurately install components such as PCB (Printed Circuit Boards), connectors, wiring, and surface mount technology (SMT) devices.
Solder components on PCB assemblies utilizing industry-standard techniques, ensuring high-quality joints that meet IPC 610 standards.
Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to facilitate accurate assembly processes.
Conduct testing of electrical wiring and assemblies using ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools to verify functionality and troubleshoot issues.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Collaborate with engineering teams to review design specifications and suggest improvements for manufacturing efficiency.
Utilize calipers, measuring tapes, and other precision tools to ensure dimensional accuracy during assembly.
Support quality control efforts by inspecting finished products for defects or inconsistencies in accordance with IPC 610 standards.
Assist in the setup and calibration of machinery related to electrical assembly tasks.
Experience
Proven experience in manufacturing or electronic assembly environments with a focus on electrical wiring, soldering, and PCB assembly.
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their integration within systems.
Knowledge of schematics interpretation, mechanical knowledge, and the use of hand tools such as calipers, screwdrivers, and power tools.
Experience working with surface mount technology (SMT) components and understanding of IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies.
Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics accurately.
Prior exposure to machining processes or mechanical assembly is advantageous.
Demonstrated electrical experience including troubleshooting with ohmmeters or multimeters is preferred.
