Its solutions span prevention and early detection through diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care, empowering healthcare providers worldwide.Position Summary:The Senior Mechatronics Integration Engineer will be a part of the R&D organization and an important contributor to the realization of the next generation robotic platform that will change the future of healthcare.You will be a visible technical resource working on development of complex electro-mechanical assemblies.There will be direct contribution from prototype to verification builds and tests within a regulated medical device development environment.This role is suited for a hands-on, senior-level R&D engineer with multi-disciplinary knowledge (Electrical, Software, and Mechanical) proficient in integrating complex electromechanical systems and experience in troubleshooting when needed, sustenance of robotic systems, perform configuration management, manage component inventories, and advise on design improvements.Key Responsibilities:Maintains and upgrade fleet of robotic systems for R&D development, under the design control processesPerforms system configuration management to support system traceability for various R&D and clinical activitiesLeads hands-on, disciplined system troubleshooting activities working closely with different disciplinesAuthors relevant documents related to process improvementsDevelops test methods, protocols, execute tests, prepare reports and release them via ECOsSupports system builds, inventory management, and procurement activitiesProposes improvements in the process and reliability of the system.Leads/supports detailed planning (BOM, procurement, etc.) and the future builds.Qualifications:10+ years work experience in complex electromechanical system R&D environmentBachelor's and/or Masters degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a close field is desired.Associate's degree with exceptional experience is acceptable.Experience in heavily-regulated industries such as medical device, or aerospace is requiredMust have proven track record of hands-on experience in assembly and test of electro-mechanical systemsExperience using, modifying, or programing in MATLAB, Simulink, or LabView is required.Ability to deconstruct complex problems into manageable components to derive effective solutions is required.Experience in fixture and process validation is desired.Must have experience in cross-functional collaboration and technical leadershipMust have experience in project management including task timeline estimation and work breakdown structuresKnowledge of industry best practices for development of complex electromechanical systemsPrevious experience in design transfer/new product introduction desiredDemonstrated CAD proficiency desired. Solidworks preferredA working knowledge of DFM/A, Six Sigma, and statistical tolerance analysis is desiredProficiency with Product Lifecycle Management PLM software and ECOs is desiredMust have experience developing production level and support documentation including bills of material (BOMs), assembly drawings, and maintenance instructions.Proficiency in developing test methods, protocols, performing tests and releasing relevant documentation.Able to execute assigned projects and duties with minimal supervisionOutstanding documentation and communication skills requiredProficiency in using MS Office requiredTekWissen Group is an equal opportunity employer supporting workforce diversity.
