This individual will support and enhance a critical legacy application while helping execute a long-term modernization strategy to a modern Microsoft technology stack.ResponsibilitiesSupport, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance a mission-critical Visual FoxPro applicationWork directly with engineering and business users to gather requirements and implement enhancementsInvestigate and resolve production issues, defects, and support requestsMaintain and optimize Visual FoxPro free-table (DBF) database structuresDevelop and support SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and integrationsDocument application functionality, architecture, and support processesParticipate in knowledge transfer activities and help reduce legacy system riskCollaborate with development teams on modernization initiativesssist with the phased migration of Visual FoxPro functionality to a C#/.NET architectureProvide technical recommendations regarding support, enhancement, and modernization efforts. Required Qualifications 8+ years of software development experienceStrong hands-on Visual FoxPro development experienceExperience supporting Visual FoxPro versions 6 through 10Strong understanding of Visual FoxPro free-table environments and database architectureMicrosoft SQL Server experience (SQL Server 2012 and newer)Experience supporting and enhancing complex business-critical applicationsStrong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skillsbility to work directly with business users, engineering teams, and technical stakeholdersMust currently reside in South Florida (Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach County) Preferred Qualifications C# development experienceExperience developing or supporting Web APIsExperience modernizing or migrating legacy applications to .NET technologiesWPF desktop application development experienceExperience integrating legacy applications with ERP systemsExperience in manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, aviation, MRO, inventory management, or Bill of Materials (BOM) environments
