PSM Compliance and Safety Coordinator
Position DescriptionThis position will be responsible for maintaining Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance and is intended for an individual with at least 3-5 years of compliance experience in oil and gas production operations. The successful candidate will serve a vital role in ensuring that PSM facilities maintain compliance with all state and federal environmental, OSHA and other regulatory agency requirements applicable to gas plant operations. In this role, you will work closely with many departments including plant management and operations, environmental health and safety (EHS) and engineering to support coordinated and compliant facility activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills to effectively support safe, compliant, and efficient operations across all PSM-covered processes.Must permanently reside in Tioga, Williston or surrounding communities in Williams, Mountrail, Burke or Divide Counties.Responsibilities Promote the Company's EHS philosophy and culture. Assist in preparation and submittal of annual emissions and hazardous waste inventories as required. Assist in continued implementation of and adherence to the Company's EHS Management Plan. Lead operations in all PSM elements including Management of Change (MOC), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Pre Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR), closure of assigned action items, CAM /Maximo implementation and administration, Operating and Maintenance procedures, and assist with the overall improvement of the PSM program. Work with plant and field personnel to identify solutions to arising EHS issues and audit findings. Assist operations in Risk Management and Incident Investigation processes including facilitating root cause analysis of reported incidents, near misses, injury, or vehicle collision. Promote Behavior Based Safety principles. Assist in maintaining safety equipment in proper working order and coordinate required inspections, maintenance, calibration/testing, and replacement as required. Assist in the development and enhancement of compliance review policies and procedures. Assist with coordinating and conducting EHS-related training. Participate in Emergency Response planning, preparation and efforts. Participate in corporate Technical Work Groups, as appropriate. Will carry a company-provided cell phone and respond during working and non-working hours. Willing to work around plant/production vessels and piping systems containing H2S and hydrocarbon gases which are flammable and may be explosive under certain circumstances. Operate a company vehicle. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers. Other duties as assigned. Job level is commensurate with experience and skill set of the successful candidate.Position RequirementsEducation and/or experience: High school degree or equivalent. General knowledge of compressor stations, gathering system, and processing plant operations. General knowledge and experience managing web-based team sites, document libraries, lists, and content. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (e.g. Maximo) and incident investigation tools. Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, consistently taking initiative to identify and address process safety concerns.
