Dental Sterilization Technician / Dental Assistant
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Sterilization Technician / Dental Assistant to join our busy dental practice. This role is vital in maintaining a sterile environment, supporting dental procedures and ensuring efficient clinic operations. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about continual learning.
Responsibilities
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
Assist dentists during various procedures including chairside assisting
Turn over treatment rooms quickly and thoroughly between patients
Set up and break down operatories to ensure providers stay on schedule
Maintain accurate sterilization logs and monitor sterilization equipment
Keep sterilization and clinical areas clean, organized, and stocked
Assist the dental team as needed to support patient flow and daily operations
Take and record vital signs, medical history, and other patient information accurately
Capture dental radiographs (X-ray) and operate 3D scanners or other medical imaging devices as needed
Manage patient medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Support front desk duties including dental receptionist tasks when required
Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health maintenance
Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to infection control protocols
Experience
Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not required
Experience with X-ray imaging, 3D scanners, or other medical imaging tools is advantageous
Previous dental sterilization or dental assisting experience preferred
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
Knowledge of proper cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilization procedures
Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing attention to detail

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
