Job DescriptionSolution Architect, Enterprise Systems is a senior, client‐facing technical leader responsible for designing and guiding integrated, end‐to‐end enterprise solutions across complex application and data landscapes. This role focuses on system integration, interoperability, and architectural coherence, ensuring business processes, platforms, and data work together reliably at enterprise scale.The Solution Architect partners closely with Sales, Engineering, and Delivery teams from presales through execution, translating business objectives into pragmatic integrated architectures while maintaining architectural integrity throughout delivery.Traveling up to 50% annually to support sales pursuits.Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise ArchitectureDefine end‐to‐end solution architectures that span multiple systems, platforms, and vendors, with a strong emphasis on integration and interoperabilityMake architectural decisions across application integration, data movement, identity, security, error handling, resiliency, and operational monitoringDesign architectures that support business process orchestration, system decoupling, and long‐term maintainabilityEstablish integration standards, patterns, and guardrails aligned with Hitachi Solutions and industry best practicesSystem Integration & InteroperabilityLead the design of integration architectures using APIs, event‐driven patterns, messaging, and data synchronization approachesDefine integration strategies across ERP, CRM, custom applications, data platforms, and third‐party systemsAddress common enterprise integration challenges including data consistency, latency, failure handling, and versioningEnsure integrations are designed for scalability, reliability, observability, and supportabilityData & Process AlignmentDesign data flows and integration patterns that enable consistent, trusted data across systemsPartner with business and functional stakeholders to align end‐to‐end business processes across applicationsEnsure integration architectures support reporting, analytics, and downstream consumption needsBalance real‐time, near‐real‐time, and batch integration approaches based on business requirementsSoftware Engineering & Delivery AlignmentProvide architectural guidance to engineering teams to ensure integrations are buildable, testable, and operableDefine application and integration patterns including API design, service boundaries, and contract managementEnsure alignment with modern delivery practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and DevSecOpsReview designs and implementations to ensure engineering quality aligns with architectural intentPresales & Client EngagementPartner with Sales to drive solution design during pursuits, including integration discovery, architecture definition, and estimationContribute to proposals, statements of work, and executive‐level presentationsClearly communicate integration trade‐offs, risks, and recommendations to client IT leadership and executivesAct as a trusted advisor for clients navigating complex, multi‐system environmentsDelivery Enablement & GovernancePartner with Delivery teams to ensure the integration architecture defined in presales is carried through executionProvide ongoing architectural oversight and decision support during deliveryIdentify integration risks early and drive mitigation strategiesSupport customer satisfaction through clear, proactive communication across technical and business teamsQualifications15+ years of experience in solution architecture, integration architecture, or senior technical leadership rolesConsulting or professional services backgroundExperience working within architecture governance or design authority modelsDeep experience designing enterprise system integration architecturesStrong understanding of:Application and data integration patternsAPI design, messaging, and event‐driven architecturesEnterprise data movement and synchronization strategiesExperience integrating platforms such as ERP, CRM, custom applications, and data platformsAbility to bridge business processes and technical execution across multiple systemsStrong executive‐level communication and stakeholder management skillsAdditional InformationBase Salary Pay Range: $170,000 - $230,000 USD/$155,000 - $215,000 CADThe current applicable Base Salary Pay Range for this role is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
