Given that each service area entails the challenge of identifying and resolving issues, this role necessitates a solution-oriented mindset that is adept at navigating unknown and evolving problems. To effectively fulfill the requirements of this role, the individual must be attentive, organized, professional, and possess excellent communication skills.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ServiceConduct in-home service and repair work for a variety of productsPerform troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify technical issues and provide effective solutionsUtilize programming instructions to assist in identifying and resolving motorized product issuesCommunicate effectively with customers to understand their needs, explain service procedures, and address any concernsInstall, reinstall, or remove products based on customer requests and specificationsMaintain accurate documentation of service and repair activities in designated CRMCollaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service calls and efficient use of resourcesPrice repairs, parts, and services through the company’s CRMMaintain equipment, supplies, and track inventory through systemsUtilize customer support through our manufacturers to troubleshoot problemsUtilize database to pull original orders and compare with service request to ensure we have the tools and parts to effectively solve their issueRepairAssess and conclude repairability for window treatmentsFulfill the ASC repair process and proceduresEnsure detailed notes are recorded in each customer profile and correct terminology is utilizedMaintain organized paperwork, filing the information in the accurate spot when doneComplete and communicate repair statuses and pick-ups in the allotted time frameOrder and track repair parts via designated systemsPrice repairs, parts, and services via designated systemMaintain equipment, supplies, and track inventory through systemsBlind CleaningExecute cleaning techniques on a diverse range of window treatments according to processes and proceduresEnsure the possession and maintenance of a valid driver's license and clean driving record in order to effectively operate the company vehicle or trailer and transport it to both commercial and residential locations as necessaryMaintain knowledge of product specifications and ability/limitations for cleaning productsRemove and reinstall window treatments prior to and following the cleaning processMaintain equipment, supplies, and track inventory through systemsCollaborate with Operations Coordinator regarding schedulingContinue to learn and grow on product knowledgeQUALIFICATIONS: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record: inquire with BVSB if more than 1 speed or 1 accidentAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsSolutions oriented with the ability to think dynamically about problem solvingAbility to interpret instructions and apply to situationExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsSkilled in handling conflict with customersStrong organizational and multi-tasking skillsUnderstand basic measurements and conversionsSkillful with toolsMust be able to lift over 80 lbs. without limitationDetail oriented and efficientAbility to project a pleasant and professional image even in pressure situationsRequires the ability to accept and implement constructive feedbackCompany DescriptionJoin Bay View Shade & Blind, the trusted name in quality window treatments since 1926.
