Medical Assistant

Job Description We are seeking a Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform clinical skills such as vital signs, EKG, Injections, phlebotomy, and documentation in EMR system.Responsibilities:Prep charts prior to patient visitRoom patients, take vital signs, history, review medications, document and update chart in EMR.Assure lab and test results are in chart prior to provider seeing patient.Give injections, ear lavages, EKG's, suture removalObtain preauthorizations for medications Prep patients for annual wellness visits, physicals, and pre-opsReturn calls to patients and instruct patient on doctors recommendations.Communicate with physicians and NP's patient needs.Review that patients are up to date with preventative studies (HEDIS) and document as neededComplete paperwork requested by insurance companies, patients, etcCross train between front and back office.Work as a team with coworkersThe above are some of the responsibilities of this position.​Qualifications:1 year experience as a certified medical assistantStrong organizational skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentBe able to work as a team playerCompany DescriptionRichard J Pena-Ariet MD,PA is a busy Internal Medicine Practice located in St Lucie West, Fl.
