Massachusetts Certified Application Counselor

A company is looking for an Outpatient Financial Counselor. Key Responsibilities Assist low-income, uninsured, and underinsured patients in applying for financial assistance programs and securing healthcare coverage Manage patient inquiries and documentation related to insurance eligibility and enrollment processes Educate patients about health insurance options, assist with applications, and maintain accurate records of patient interactions Required Qualifications High School diploma with 3-5 years of customer service experience in healthcare or human services; Bachelor's degree preferred Must complete MassHealth's curriculum for Certified Application Counselor and maintain certification annually 2-3 years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or human services setting Bilingual candidates and those with hospital/healthcare experience are strongly preferred Strong technical skills and proficiency in utilizing Epic and external database systems
