Test Engineer (San Jose)

We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer with a strong foundation in electronics engineering, software development, and hands-on experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE). This role focuses on developing, implementing, and optimizing test solutions for next-generation, high-performance semiconductor devices. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement new test methodologies and solutions for complex semiconductor devices Convert, debug, and support test programs, including hardware interface development Optimize test programs to improve fault coverage and reduce overall test time Troubleshoot and resolve engineering and production issues related to test processes Collaborate cross-functionally with application development teams, field engineers, and project stakeholders Work directly with customers to ensure solutions meet technical and production requirements Maintain thorough technical documentation and project records Travel up to 20% to support customer sites and project implementation as needed Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in IC test development or application engineering Strong experience working with semiconductor ATE platforms Proficiency in Java programming Hands-on experience using electronic bench instrumentation Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented
