(ACT) is a manufacturer of thermal management products for diverse industries and applications, including commercial satellites, military vehicles, medical devices, primary calibration equipment, and HVAC systems. ACT is looking for team members with a desire to perform mechanical inspections of complex parts. We are located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Position Summary: Perform incoming inspection of materials and components; perform in-process and final inspections of products for commercial and/or government customers. Assist in the maintenance of the Quality Management System. Must be able to work independently. Responsibilities: Assure that all products are built to the highest standard of quality in accordance with the Quality Policy and AS9100 procedures. Develop intimate knowledge of manufacturing / inspection processes and procedures. Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to understand component requirements and inspection criteria. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints utilizing GD&T techniques to develop and optimize CMM programs using software such as PC-DMIS or similar, based on engineering drawings and specifications. Conduct thorough dimensional inspections of machined parts using CMM equipment. Perform receiving, in-process inspections, final inspections and/or First Article inspections on manufactured and purchased products. Analyze and interpret measurement data, generating comprehensive reports to ensure manufactured parts meet specified standards and drawings. Must be able to stay current with industry advancements in CMM technology and measurement techniques. Demonstrate proficient use of basic inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, etc. Identify and segregate non-conformances / write nonconformance reports. Follow Foreign Object Damage Protection procedure. Support supplier quality initiatives. Must be detail oriented. Must be organized. Demonstrate basic computer knowledge. Demonstrate basic math skills Follow all company rules and policies. This includes being familiar with, and following, ITAR/export guidelines pertaining to e-mails, technical information and products designated as either ITAR or export controlled. Proven experience as a CMM Programmer / Operator in a manufacturing environment Proficiency in CMM programming software, such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar. Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in metrology principles and measurement techniques. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. Good verbal and written skills essential with strong communication skills for reporting and documentation.
