Veterinary Technician

Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing quality care for animals and support the daily operations of our veterinary practice.Duties include, but are not limited to:Assist veterinarians in routine examinations and surgical proceduresPerform laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood countsAdminister medications and vaccines under veterinarian supervisionRadiology, including dental.Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progressProvide compassionate care to animals in distressMonitor anesthesia during surgical proceduresExposure and handling of exotic animals (not avian)Experience and competency performing dental prophylaxisQualifications:Certification as a Veterinary Technician or Vet Tech experienceProficiency in dog handling, pet care, and veterinary proceduresKnowledge of aseptic techniques and animal anatomyFamiliarity with X-ray proceduresExperience in animal handlingUnderstanding of animal physiologyPrior knowledge of Avimark operating system is a plusExperience with exotics is a plusJoining our team offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can make a difference in the lives of animals every day.We are a small animal clinic, all of the team is cross-trained.
