Responsibilities · Work with Culinary Manager to develop menu items and dishes. · Produce high quality plates, both in design and taste. · Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards. · Fill in for the Culinary Manager in planning and directing food preparation when necessary. · Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation. · Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance. · Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately. · Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards. · Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers. Qualifications · Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment. · Minimum of (2) years kitchen experience. · Knowledge, skill and coordination with using kitchen utensils and equipment. · Ability to read recipes and memorize and replicate food production procedures. · Ensure kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, and sanitation requirements. · Ability to manage kitchen inventory and ensure supplies are fresh and of high quality. · Ensuring proper food temperatures when cooking and proper labeling and storage afterward.
