From the engineers who design large-scale production systems and cutting-edge quality assurance tools to the hands-on associates who manage our massive inventory flow, they make up a diverse group of behind-the-scenes team members dedicated to the success of our organization.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Manages, leads, and coordinates warehouse staff to deliver extraordinary resultsReceiving, packing, cycle counting, and shipping DISH inventory to support organizational goals and objectivesSafety compliance, quality awareness, process efficiency, and employee satisfaction are key performance metricsDuties are accomplished personally or through subordinate staff, and will oversee inbound operationsSupervise and coordinate daily warehouse and distribution activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shippingEnsure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and company policiesMonitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical inventoriesManage and optimize warehouse layout and storage utilizationCoordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goodsUtilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory, manage orders, and generate reportsManage the performance of the distribution team, including hiring, coaching, training, and performance evaluationsLead and facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivityApply lean tools and techniques to identify and eliminate process bottlenecksDevelop and implement standard work procedures to ensure consistent and efficient operationsTrack and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs)Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the distribution teamProvide leadership, guidance, and support to warehouse and distribution staffFoster a positive and collaborative work environmentConduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, address concerns, and solicit feedbackIdentify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledgeResolve employee conflicts and disciplinary issues in a fair and consistent mannerEnsure proper staffing levels to meet operational demandsDevelop and maintain performance metrics to track and improve warehouse and distribution efficiencyGenerate regular reports on key performance indicators, including on time delivery, inventory accuracy and cost per unitAnalyze data to identify trends and areas for improvementPrepare and present reports to management on warehouse and distribution performanceEffectively interact with all levels of organizational staff and company personnelProficiency in the English language to communicate, read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
