Bartender
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and personable Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong knowledge of beverage preparation, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves mixing drinks, managing bar operations, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings is highly desirable. The bartender will play a key role in enhancing our guests' experience and maintaining the high standards of our establishment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring excellent customer service throughout their visit.
Manage bar inventory, restocking supplies as needed, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
Ensure compliance with all food safety and food handling regulations, maintaining a clean work environment.
Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and adhere to alcohol service laws.
Collaborate with kitchen staff for food service during events such as banquets or catering functions.
Maintain knowledge of beverage menus, including brewing techniques and cocktail recipes, to provide recommendations to guests.
Assist in setting up for special events or themed nights within the nightclub or hospitality venue.
Skills
Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy hours.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
Experience in fine dining, nightclubs, banquet service, or food industry environments is preferred.
Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and calculating drink recipes accurately.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
Ability to work flexible hours including nights; experience in hospitality or food service is highly valued.
Familiarity with serving alcohol responsibly and understanding of beverage trends such as brewing techniques.
