EDVT Test Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform system-level hardware EDVT to validate optical interconnects and pluggable transceivers.
- Implement optimal test processes and strategies across multiple Cisco platforms to ensure data integrity and analysis
- Find and debug complex hardware failures and drive root-cause analysis using system logs and controlled experiments
- Execute hands-on test implementation, configuration, and testing on multiple platforms
- Develop and maintain test automation for EDVT and control test setups. Execute test scripts to scale testing efficiency, maximize test coverage, and improve data analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional project teams and supply base throughout product development
- Work closely with Cisco platform hardware teams on issues, host design, module qualifications, EDVT, and debuggingRequired Qualifications:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience
- Hands-on experience with electrical and optical test and measurement equipment
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Experience with automated testing (Unix/Linux, Python, Tcl/Expect, or similar tools)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to express complex technical concepts and work effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliersPreferred Qualifications:
- Experience with basic networking (Cisco IOS/NXOS or CCNA)
- Familiarity with product specifications and datasheets for analyzing results and performance
