Senior Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Finance ConsultantLocation: Schaumburg, IL (Local candidates strongly preferred)Work Model: Onsite daily for first 1–2 months, then hybrid possibleRate: $70-75/hr.Duration: 6+ months (extension likely)Industry: Manufacturing / Consumer ProductsInterviews: 1–2 Microsoft Teams interviewsPosition OverviewSeeking a highly experienced Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Finance Consultant to support ongoing ERP finance initiatives and optimization within a complex manufacturing and distribution environment. This role serves as a hands?on functional finance SME, partnering with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and IT to improve processes, system usage, and financial controls.Candidates with a prior accounting or finance background who transitioned into ERP consulting are strongly preferred.Key Responsibilities Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Dynamics 365 F&O Finance modules Partner with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to gather requirements and optimize processes Support configuration, troubleshooting, enhancements, and testing within D365 F&O Finance Assist with:General Ledger (GL) Accounts Payable (AP) Accounts Receivable (AR) Fixed Assets Financial Reporting Budgeting and Financial Controls Collaborate with technical teams, developers, and integration resources to ensure data integrity Support UAT, training, and end?user adoption Document business processes and drive ERP best practices and standardization Provide ongoing ERP support, issue resolution, and continuous improvement Required Qualifications Strong hands?on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Deep functional expertise in the Finance module Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, or optimization projects Strong understanding of:General Ledger AP / AR Fixed Assets Financial Reporting Budgeting Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills Ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward Preferred QualificationsAccounting or Finance background (Former Accountant, CPA, or Financial Analyst highly desired) Manufacturing or Consumer Products industry experience Experience in complex enterprise ERP environments Ability to work onsite in Schaumburg, IL (local Chicagoland candidates preferred) #INDTSPeoplelink LLC, a leader in the staffing industry for the past 33 years, continues our vision of ‘linking’ communities through employment.
