Urology PA- Kenilworth: 4 day-work week/10 hour-shifts No weekends or holidays; NO CALL Urologic procedures Outpatient, Average patient load: 16 Urology PA- Lincoln: Monday through Friday No weekends or holidays; NO CALL No OR responsibilities 75-80% outpatient and 20-25% inpatient Benefits include: $2,500 annual CME allowance and 5 CME days Sign on bonus available Annual performance incentive bonus Eligible for overtime, differential pay, and PTO with a competitive benefits package Supportive work environment with excellent mentorship and collaborative care Education & Onboarding: Atrium Health is deeply committed to provider development and continuing education. Ideal Candidate: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Desire to work in a close-knit, community-oriented setting Licensed Physician Assistant with 1 urology or surgical experience (new grads will be considered) Graduation from an accredited PA program. Current license to practice as a PA in North Carolina. Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required. BLS for healthcare provider from AHA required. Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred. Performs history and physical assessments of patients that are accurate, complete, concise, relevant and appropriate for age, gender and clinical problem. Orders appropriate diagnostic studies and correctly interprets the results. Utilizes critical thinking to synthesize and analyze collected data. Develops, implements, evaluates and alters the plan of care as needed. Manages general medical and surgical conditions based on knowledge of the indications, contraindications, side effects, interactions and adverse reactions of pharmacologic agents and other relevant treatment modalities. Counsels and educates patients and families. Demonstrates-proficiency in procedural skills pertinent to practice area. Maintains accurate, complete, concise and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Patient Care Provides care that is patient and family centered, compassionate, appropriate and effective for the promotion of health, prevention of illness and treatment of disease throughout the lifespan. Facilitates consistent, coordinated care and clear communication among all members of the healthcare team. Incorporates the patient and family in care planning and treatment across settings. Serves as an advocate for patients and families in navigating the health care system.
