Sales Manager
Job Description
This is a junior level Sales Manager that supports the day-to-day activities of the Director of International Sales.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in site inspections, planning, service and execution for International Guest/Group visits and other related functions
Work closely with operations teams including but not limited to Front Office, Guest Experience, Housekeeping + Meeting - Events Team to ensure that client's needs are met and exceeded in every way
Organize flawless arrival and overall experience for all International guests
Collaborate in overall International sales effort including outside sales calls
Prepare proposals, contracts and turnover files
Use Delphi to create/update accounts or contacts within an account, create new group bookings, revise existing group bookings, merge and produce contracts
Use Opera as necessary within the scope of this position
Responsible for personal sales goal
Draft and execute sales collateral and client / prospect presentations via Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proactively manage preparation for site inspections
Answer telephones, emails and inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Prepare and process Expense Reports and Monthly Reports
Manage International Data base and assist in all International Initiatives
Other tasks as requested
Job Qualifications:
College Degree or equivalent experience
Prior experience in dealing with this type/level of clientele is desirable
Ability to read, write and speak English, using excellent grammar and communication skills
Strong Work ethic and customer relation skills
Attention to detail is a must
Ability to multi-task and be proactive
Pleasant and professional demeanor
Ability to effectively communicate in a friendly and positive manner
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Fluency in multiple languages is a plus
Previous hotel operations experience is a strong plus
Delphi and Opera knowledge is a plus
