GEF Project Design Specialist

A company is looking for a GEF Project Design Specialist for Latin America and the Caribbean. Key Responsibilities Provide technical expertise in the identification and design of natural resource/environmental project proposals Lead multidisciplinary teams to assist in formulating natural resource and environmental management projects for GEF financing Prepare full project documentation and ensure quality control of GEF project concepts and documents Required Qualifications Advanced university degree in natural resources management, international relations, social or environmental sciences, or equivalent At least five years of relevant experience in GEF project design related to biodiversity, climate change, or sustainable management Working knowledge of English and Spanish Experience with GEF and other environmental funds' procedures Experience in project design in the Latin America and the Caribbean region is desirable
