Food Truck Cook *Part-Time | Radius Taproom Food Truck* The Radius Production and Taproom is looking for *part-time Food Truck Cooks* to help launch and grow our slider-focused food truck operation. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in producing great food, and wants to be part of a fun new concept from the ground up. Our food truck menu will focus on *elevated sliders, appetizers, and a few simple sides*, with an emphasis on consistency, speed, cleanliness, and quality. We are looking for team members who can help us execute that vision while bringing positive energy to the truck and taproom environment. *Position Summary* The Food Truck Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items in a small food truck kitchen, assisting with prep, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and helping ensure smooth service during regular operating hours and occasional special events. This role reports to the *Taproom Manager and Ownership*. Schedule / Availability This is a *part-time position*, generally expected to be *20–25 hours per week*. Current taproom/truck hours are: * *Wednesday:* 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM * *Thursday:* 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM* *Friday:* 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM* *Saturday:* 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM* *Sunday:* 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM Some prep work will need to be completed before service, and occasional *private events or special events* will also need coverage. *Pay / Perks** *Starting pay: $12/hour** Food and drink discounts* Opportunity for advancement into a *full-time position* with higher pay and greater responsibility as the business grows*What You'll Do** Prepare and cook food for service in a small food truck kitchen * Execute menu items consistently and efficiently during busy service periods* Assist with prep work before service* Restock and organize ingredients, sauces, and supplies throughout shifts* Keep the truck clean, organized, and ready for service* Complete end-of-night cleaning to ensure the truck is fully cleaned and reset* Help complete scheduled weekly cleaning duties* Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature-control standards* Communicate clearly with management and coworkers during service* Help create a positive guest experience by putting out food you are proud of*What We're Looking For** A positive attitude and strong work ethic * Ability to work quickly and stay organized in a small, fast-paced space* Willingness to follow recipes, systems, and standards* Reliability and punctuality* Ability to stay calm and productive during rushes* Pride in cleanliness, organization, and food quality* Comfort working evenings, weekends, and occasional special events*Experience / Qualifications** *One year of kitchen or food truck experience preferred, but not required** Flat top and fryer experience is helpful* Food safety awareness is important* *ServSafe certification is preferred** If not currently certified, employee will be expected to complete an online food safety course, which we will pay for*Physical Requirements** Ability to stand for extended periods * Ability to work in a hot, compact kitchen environment* Ability to lift and carry typical food service items and supplies* Ability to move efficiently during busy service periods*Growth Opportunity* This role has room to grow.
