Financial Controller

Job Title: Financial Controller Location: Houston, TX Duration: Fulltime Overview: We are seeking an experienced Controller to help lead the finance function of a growing, multi-division organization. Reporting to executive leadership, you'll oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and financial governance while helping drive scalable processes and informed business decisions. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys improving processes, strengthening controls, and building a finance organization that supports long-term growth. What You’ll Own: Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close Maintain general ledger integrity, account reconciliations, and consolidated financial reporting Ensure GAAP compliance, audit readiness, and support external audits Develop and enforce internal controls, accounting policies, and SOPs Oversee AP, corporate credit cards, and payroll controls Deliver job costing, margin analysis, and profitability reporting Improve ERP accounting workflows, financial processes, and data integrity Provide executive leadership with financial reporting, KPIs, and actionable insights What We’re Looking For: 10+ years of progressive accounting experience Experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leader Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, audits, and internal controls Experience working within ERP-based accounting environments CPA preferred Experience in a multi-entity, multi-division, or project-based business is a plus Pay: From $98,911.05 per year Experience: Progressive accounting : 10 years (Required) held as a Controller, Manager or similar leadership roles: 5 years (Required) Work Location: In person
