Product Design Engineering Project Manager, Connector for iPhone

Engineering Project Manager within the Connector Product Design organization is responsible for managing the development and implementation process with our engineering teamsThe role entails managing the design and development of connectors (e.g. USB, HDMI, Power, Lightning, etc.) for a variety of Apple products, driving day-to-day activities to meet the overall program objectives and focusing on mechanical engineering design, development planning and validation.Excellent communication, organizational, presentation and leadership skills Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience Self motivated and proactive with demonstrated critical thinking capabilities Understands rapid development cycles and is adaptable in the face of ambiguity Redirect pitfalls and develop improved course of action Detailed knowledge of product development processes and strong understanding of manufacturing processes Experience interfacing with product design, operations, cross-functional teams and managing international vendors Combined experience in project management and mechanical engineering delivering products comprised of various materials and high esthetic qualityBS ME degree or equivalent required, MBA nice to have Several years of project management experience Experience and familiarity with consumer electronic industry
