The Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon is hiring for one (1) Full-Time, Limited Duration Compliance Specialist 1 position — expecting to end on or before 06/30/2025. The Limited Duration appointment may be extended beyond this date or may end prior to this date, based upon funding.

What will you do?
Your primary responsibility in this position will be to review Ignition Interlock Device (IID) service center applicants and inspect service center sites. You will also be responsible for processing vendor and service center applications/certifications in order to participate in the IID program.
In this position, you will act as the liaison to the installers and technicians involved in the IID program. In addition, you will provide guidance and rule enforcement to IID service centers and technicians to ensure compliance with Oregon Revised Statute and Oregon Administrative Rules.
You will assist in the intake and resolution of consumer complaints and assist in continuously updating the departing IID website. You will also answer phone and email requests for IID related service issues and appropriately refer potential criminal violations or child welfare issues to sworn enforcement staff.

Minimum Qualifications (these must be addressed in your resume for full consideration):
Two years’ experience doing administrative research that included compiling and evaluating facts to recommend management action, decide eligibility, or compliance with program guidelines and regulations.
Note: college-level course work may substitute for the experience on the basis of 45-quarter units per year of experience
Preferred Skills (these must be addressed in your cover letter for full consideration):
Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service to a diverse audience.
Demonstrated experience or transferable skills with research and analysis of law enforcement programs and best practices.
Experience working as a member of a high performing team or organization.
Knowledge, skill, and ability to produce and communicate professional and concise written reports, detailed briefings, and technical information to a wide variety of individuals.
Ability to independently organize, prioritize, manage deadlines, and produce high quality work.
Special Qualifications:
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
Must be LEDS certified or be able to obtain certification upon hire.
