This role is ideal for an early-career developer who is eager to grow their skills across both backend and frontend technologies while working closely with experienced engineers.You will contribute to real production systems using Golang, React, and AWS, gaining hands-on experience with modern software development practices including API development, containerized deployments, and CI/CD pipelines. This position offers strong mentorship, structured learning, and exposure to the full software development lifecycle in a collaborative Agile environment.Your ResponsibilitiesContribute to the development and maintenance of full stack applications using Golang (backend) and React (frontend)Assist in building and consuming RESTful APIs (and exposure to GraphQL where applicable)Implement new features and enhancements based on well-defined requirements and technical designsWrite clean, readable, and maintainable code following established coding standardsCollaborate with senior developers, architects, and product owners to understand system design and business needsParticipate in code reviews, incorporating feedback to improve code quality and technical skillsSupport application deployments using Docker and cloud environments on AWSHelp troubleshoot and debug issues across the application stackContribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the teamWork with version control and collaboration tools such as GitHub or Azure DevOpsWho We Are Looking For1–2 years of professional software development experience (internships, co-ops, or relevant academic projects are acceptable)Experience developing applications using at least one backend and one frontend technology in a production or project settingBackend & API DevelopmentBasic to intermediate experience with Golang or a strong willingness to learn GolangUnderstanding of RESTful API concepts and HTTP fundamentalsFamiliarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)Basic understanding of authentication and authorization conceptsFrontend DevelopmentExperience building user interfaces using React or another modern JavaScript frameworkWorking knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSSFamiliarity with component-based UI development and basic state managementCloud & DevOpsBasic understanding of cloud concepts; experience with AWS is a plusFamiliarity with Docker and containerized applications is desirableExposure to CI/CD pipelines or automated deployments is a plus, but not requiredSoftware Engineering PracticesUnderstanding of core software engineering principles and data structuresFamiliarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologiesWhat We Offer At Magna, you can expect an engaging and dynamic environment where you can help to develop industry-leading automotive technologies.
