Position Overviewdormakaba is seeking a Buyer II based in Reamstown, PA. The Buyer II is responsible for managing the supplier base and all related activities for the direct procurement of assigned commodities. The Buyer II will conduct daily Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and purchasing requisition reviews, issue new purchase orders or material releases, open order follow-up and conduct system maintenance, seek new vendor sources, timely processing of all purchasing related documentation, discussing and resolving vendor issues related to product quality, answer engineering questions and other requirements, participate in projects and perform other assigned tasks as instructed by management.HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $65,000 - $87,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.What you will doManage MRP and perform procurement of assigned commodities to support smooth production flow and on-time fulfillment of customer ordersEvaluate MRP purchase requisitions and review inventory levels to make purchasing decisions, optimizing inventory levels and working capitalParticipate in evaluating supplier performance based on defined KPIs, coordinate communication (internal and external) and manage execution plan for improvementsWork closely with Category Managers to monitor market indicators and develop strategic buysResearch, select and vet new suppliers for assigned commoditiesWhat we requireHigh School diploma or GED equivalentMinimum 3 years of relevant purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment or a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain ManagementStrong background in purchasing and supply management concepts, basic understanding of contracts and legal documentsExperienced in utilizing MRP and ERP systemsWhat we prefer* AS400 experience* Additional college credits or degree in supply chain management or in businessWhat we offerTaking Care of our Employees on Day One with Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability Insurance coverage options.
