As a Display Algorithms TPM, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing workflows that span algorithm development, software implementation, hardware testing, and prototype validation. This TPM will support the technical team in scoping, planning, and delivering validation milestones to ensure display compensation algorithms meet image quality requirements on real hardware. They will work with display hardware engineers, software engineers, product managers, system architects, and subsystem TPMs to strategically manage cross-functional programs from development through dogfooding. We are looking for TPMs with a proven track record of delivering complex, multi-workstream technical programs on tight timelines. This role will have the opportunity to work closely with world-class display, optics, and SW development teams across client Reality Labs to ship delightful visual experiences in client's AR/Smart Glasses productsResponsibilitiesValidation Roadmap & Milestone Planning: Define and execute end-to-end validation milestones spanning algorithm model development, hardware testing, prototype SW validation, production SW readiness, and human factors evaluationsCross-Functional Execution: Drive alignment and execution across multiple interdependent workstreams—display hardware, testing, software, and architecture—ensuring dependencies are tracked and gaps are closedHardware & Resource Coordination: Proactively manage hardware allocation and device availability to unblock validation timelinesRisk Management & Mitigation: Continuously assess program risks and drive mitigation plans. Maintain a living risk register with clear owners, impacts, and resolution pathsStakeholder Communication: Coordinate engineering team to communicate program status—including milestone readouts, validation results, risk summaries, and decision requests—to engineering leadership and XFN stakeholders through regular reviews and executive summariesMinimum QualificationsPrior experience with client can be considered to supplement an applicant's prior years of experience or types of prior experience to meet the minimum qualifications of the position3+ years experience as a technical program manager in hardware/software co-development programs.3+ years experience in display technology, image processing, algorithm validation, or related electro-optical systems engineeringExperience leading complex, multi-workstream execution across hardware, firmware, and software teams with demonstrated ability to anticipate roadblocks and create a path forwardProven ability to manage programs with significant hardware dependencies, including device allocation, prototype build schedules, and test infrastructure coordinationStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to drive decisions and assess validation readinessEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting technical status and risk assessments to senior engineering leadershipExperience operating autonomously in ambiguous, fast-paced development environments with evolving requirements and tight launch timelinesKnowledge of AR/VR/XR display systems, including near-eye display architectures and image quality metricsSurrounding Team & Key ProjectsApart of the display algorithms team, projects include: Drive end-to-end display algorithm development, validation, and execution to ship high-quality visual experiences on client's AR/Smart Glasses products.Must have a mix of hardware/software experience in display AR productsPursuant to the California Fair Chance Act, Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers, Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, and San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, qualified applicants will be considered for assignment with arrest and conviction records.
