Job Description SummaryManufacturing engineer with responsibility sustaining, improving and supporting troubleshooting and maintenance of automated equipment within the Fuel Manufacturing Operation. Also responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of operating procedures, operator and maintenance technician training material, and technical reports for the associated equipment. Responsible for process monitoring for ensuring KPI’s are green, and problem solving is launched when KPI’s go red. Track and trend equipment performance and drive improvement projects to mitigate the leading causes for lost productivity, or quality non-conformancesJob DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities Of This Role Include The FollowingUnderstanding of the assigned manufacturing processes to support maintenance and operations troubleshootingProcess monitoring to ensure equipment and process is within control and reliability and availability expectationsUpkeep of process and equipment documentation including operating procedures, maintenance guides, training material, technical reports, and functional test instructionsProvide operational oversight and training support for operators and maintenance of equipmentDrive process improvement projects in response to identified issues, and proactively as opportunities are identifiedSupport testing of equipment, processes, and controls to assure conformance to applicable regulations and quality requirementsSupport 24/7 manufacturing operation, including emergency response, and scheduled projectsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science.Minimum 3 years' experience with industrial automated equipment and processesDesired CharacteristicsBS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering1-3 Years of manufacturing engineering experience, or multiple internships for college gradsExperience with process and/or equipment documentation development and upkeepExperience with Problem SolvingExperience with industrial equipment troubleshooting and maintenance supportExperience with improvement projects for automated industrial equipment or processesExperience resolving obsolescence issues or proactive obsolescence preventionExperience working in a regulated environmentExperience with GE (now Emerson) PLC’sExperience with Oracle databases and SQLExperience with motion control device selection, programming, troubleshooting and maintenanceExperience with computer programming (software)Experience with GE MkVIeExperience with PI Process HistorianExperience with GE (now Emerson) License ServerExperience with configuration/change managementExperience supporting 24/7 chemical/manufacturing processesAbility to develop creative solutions for complex, challenging issues.Ability to explain complex issues to a non-technical audience.Positive track record of experience resolving technical issues.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong written communication skills.Proven ability to influence othersThis role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
