Project Manager
The American Jewish Congress is seeking a highly organized, mission-driven Project Manager to support and execute key initiatives across the organization’s advocacy, programming, and operational work.
This role is ideal for a strong executor who thrives in fast-paced environments, can manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, and brings structure, accountability, and follow-through to complex projects. The Project Manager will work closely with senior leadership, internal teams, and external partners to ensure their initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and at a high level of quality.
This is a hands-on role requiring excellent project management skills, clear communication, and the ability to translate ideas into action.
This role is best suited to candidates with prior experience in combating antisemitism, public policy, government affairs, diplomacy, international relations, or political advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
Manage multiple projects from planning through execution across organizational initiatives
Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables; track progress and surface risks
Ensure follow-through, accountability, and timely completion of initiatives
Prepare regular updates and summaries for leadership
Proactively identify opportunities for new initiatives, programs, or projects and help develop concepts into actionable plans
Draft clear, professional materials including presentations, project briefs, reports, talking points, and summaries
Program & Initiative Support
Support the execution of American Jewish Congress projects and initiatives
Coordinate logistics, materials, schedules, and stakeholder communications
Track action items, follow-ups, and commitments to ensure execution of specific initiatives
Understand and keep up-to-date with all relevant policy issues impacting projects and initiatives
Relevant Domain Experience (Strongly Preferred)
Demonstrated professional experience working on issues related to antisemitism, public policy, government affairs, diplomacy, international relations, or political advocacy.
Experience within relevant organizations, including Jewish, civil rights, policy, advocacy, governmental, or international institutions, or direct experience working with government bodies, elected officials, or public sector stakeholders
Strong understanding of the political, diplomatic, and policy landscape relevant to the organization’s mission
Qualifications
Experience
3+ years of relevant professional experience
Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
Demonstrated professional experience working on issues related to the organization’s mission
Skills
Strong project management and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and handle multiple initiatives simultaneously
High attention to detail and strong follow-through
Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism
Comfort working in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment
Technical
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Comfort working with digital communications, basic marketing tools and design tools a plus
Education
Bachelor’s degree required

Pay: $68,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
