Sub Assembly
Vector's partner is in need of a Sub-Assembly worker who is responsible for assembling hardware components onto fabricated parts and panels to create subassemblies used in their products. This role requires precision, mechanical aptitude, and strong attention to detail to ensure assemblies meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
Up to $20/hr. to start
1st Shift - (5a-1:30p/6a-2:30p)
2nd Shift - (2p-12:30a)
Responsibilities:
Install hardware (fasteners, studs, hinges, brackets, clips, etc.) onto fabricated metal and non-metal components
Perform sub-assembly operations by interpreting assembly drawings, work instructions, and bills of materials (BOMs)
Prepare components for assembly by cleaning, deburring, aligning, and positioning parts accurately
Use hand tools, power tools, and torque tools safely and effectively
Verify assembled components for dimensional accuracy, fit, and function
Identify and report defects, missing components, or quality issues
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies
Support continuous improvement efforts by suggesting process or efficiency improvements
Collaborate closely with other assemblers, quality, and engineering teams
Qualifications:
Assembly in a manufacturing environment or transferable mechanical experience
Must have the ability to read assembly drawings and follow direction
High school diploma or GED required, technical or trade school preferred.
