Education Support Personnel

JOB GOAL: To assist the teacher in delivering and managing instruction, supervision, and behavioral programs which support the established program, curriculum and/or individualized plan for education.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides input in lesson and classroom planning.Delivers small group instruction in the classroom under the guidance and direction of the professional staff.Implements student assessments provided by the professional staff.Implements general and specific behavioral management programs and protocols as developed by the professional staff.Escorts students as necessary.Maintains accurate records of student progress, as directed by the professional staff.Communicates progress as well as general student information to professional staff.Provides assistance, as needed, to any substitute teacher assigned by administration in the absence of a regular teacher.Participates in professional development days.Maintains confidentiality of information.Performs other duties related to his/her performance responsibilities, as assigned by the Principal and/or Special Education Director.IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR/REPORTS TO: Principal and/or Special Education Director
