Machinist 3 LeadMachinist 3 Lead performs advanced machine setup, process troubleshooting, and ensures all processes achieve required tolerances. This role leads process improvements and mentors lower-level employees.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Expert level: Hone, Koyo, Centerless Grind, CNC drill. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, setups, quality, and process issues. Achieve and maintain tolerances below.0005 independently.Collaborate with quality and engineering to resolve quality issues.Train and mentor Machinists 1, 2, and Operators.Document and refine setup procedures and standard work instructions.Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.Assist with machine repair and preventive maintenance.Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and production standards.Maintain autonomous maintenance schedule.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum 2 years machining experience.Expert in precision machining and tolerances below.0005.Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in reading blueprints and GD&T.Leadership and mentoring experience.Experience with CNC programming and advanced setup preferred.Successful Essential Behaviors:Action-oriented and independent with a heightened sense of urgency to work at a quick pace.Demonstrates creativity in problem-solving and making innovative connections.Maintains high standards of accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards and regulations.Collaborative team player who supports and assists colleagues effectively.Upholds organizational values and demonstrates integrity in all aspects of work.Committed to continuous improvement and actively enhances work skills.Possesses a positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and adapt.Work Environment and Physical Demands:Works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and occasional noise.Requires standing, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for detailed work and operation of machinery.Ability to understand verbal instructions and comply with safety and quality regulations.Shift Schedule: 2nd Monday - Thursday 3:00 p.m. - 1:30 a.m.
