As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities, social events, and programs to promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being. This is a part-time, weekend position.Responsibilities:Plan, organize, and implement activities, including arts and crafts, games, exercise programs, and social events for our residentsCollaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement activity programs that meet the interests and needs of our residentsAssist with resident assessments to identify their interests and abilities, and use this information to tailor activities to meet their needsLead and participate in activities with residents, including one-on-one and group activitiesMaintain accurate records and reports of activities, including resident participation and feedbackDevelop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive and engaging environmentSupport and assist with orientation and training of new staff membersRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation, or related field preferredAbility to work weekends, including Fridays, Saturdays and SundaysStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstancesAbility to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periodsWhat We Offer:Competitive hourly rateOpportunity to work with a dedicated team of healthcare professionalsFriendly and supportive work environmentHow to Apply:If you are passionate about working with seniors and are looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity, we encourage you to apply for this role.
