Application Engineer I

Hours/Schedule: 8 AM – 5 PM, Monday – Friday (No overtime supported)Interview Process: Virtual, 1 round with Manager and potentially an additional team memberSoft Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills are essential.Position Summary: The Design Liaison Engineer on the Sprint team is responsible for the successful management, substantiation, and execution of critical engineering drawing changes and tasks. This role provides technical support, ensures compliance with internal processes, and ensures all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard of quality.Responsibilities:Manage, substantiate, and execute critical engineering drawing changes and tasks on time.Provide technical and project management support and troubleshooting for engineering activities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful task completion.Apply design and manufacturing knowledge to implement process improvements and/or new ideas that enhance part functionality and quality, reduce costs, and minimize manufacturing defects.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering.Proven experience demonstrating strong project management, teamwork, and communication skills.Passion for quality and continuous improvement.Proficiency with PLM, NX/UG, and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in the gas turbine industry.
