VOLT is immediately hiring for a Junior Buyer in Santa Barbara, CA.
As a Junior Buyer you will:
Manage end?to?end procurement process from purchase intent through delivery.
Review commodity requirements, specifications, preferred suppliers, and timelines.
Source, evaluate, and qualify potential suppliers.
Solicit and assess supplier proposals; recommend optimal supplier choices.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost?effective, high?quality outcomes.
Execute purchase contracts in compliance with company regulatory standards.
Ensure timely, accurate, and quality?compliant delivery of ordered items.
Address supplier performance issues and oversee corrective actions.
Maintain accurate order records, amendments, and shipping documentation.
Coordinate distribution of purchased items in a cost?effective manner.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Accounting to ensure timely material flow and issue resolution.
Work with Accounting to resolve vendor invoice discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
Generate customer invoices and track receipt of payments.
Assist with shipping paperwork for customer orders.
1st Shift Full Time Opportunity | Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
Analytical thinker with solid problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication
Experience using ERP software programs.
Pay Rate*: $21.00 – 26.00 per hour
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
