You’ll work closely with product, design, and backend teams to build scalable, intuitive, and performant front-end systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical depth, cares about craft, and thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.You will...Lead the implementation of major product features and frontend initiatives across our web appsContribute to the evolution of Kiddom’s frontend architecture, focusing on performance, reliability, accessibility, and long-term maintainabilityCollaborate deeply with designers and product managers to translate requirements into elegant user experiencesPartner with backend engineers to shape APIs, data models, and integration patterns for scalable front-end developmentParticipate in design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussionsMentor and support junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvementIdentify technical debt and propose pragmatic solutions that align with product needsHelp drive improvements in testing, tooling, CI/CD, and overall developer experienceWhat we're looking for...5-8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant emphasis on modern front-end developmentStrong proficiency with React (or similar frameworks such as Vue or Angular) and the surrounding ecosystem (state management, routing, build tools)Solid understanding of frontend performance, responsive UI development, and accessibility best practicesAbility to design modular, scalable solutions that support long-term product evolutionFamiliarity with backend fundamentals (REST APIs, microservices, data modeling) and experience collaborating closely with backend teamsExperience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar)Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across design, product, and engineeringPassion for building products that improve the lives of teachers and studentsSalary range is dependent on geographic location, prior experience, seniority, and demonstrated role related ability during the interview process.What we offerFull time permanent employees are eligible for the following benefits from their first day of employment: Competitive salary Meaningful equity Health insurance benefits: medical (various PPO/HMO/HSA plans), dental, vision, disability and life insurance One Medical membership (in participating locations) Flexible vacation time policy (subject to internal approval).
