Job title: Vehicle Technical Trainer (Contract Role) – Autonomous Mobility CompanyLocation: Foster City, CA - OnsitePay ranges: $45.00 - $55.00/hourDuration: 6 Month (With possible extension)Travel: Up to 75% (U.S., includes overnight)This role is responsible for delivering and managing technical training programs to ensure alignment on operational procedures, safety standards, and evolving practices—particularly within electric vehicle (EV) and high-voltage systems.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess training needs and develop programs aligned with operational goalsDesign and deliver training materials (lesson plans, presentations, job aids)Lead both classroom and hands-on technical training sessionsManage end-to-end training programs (onboarding → ongoing development)Partner with cross-functional teams to standardize training contentEnsure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standardsTrack training completion, evaluate effectiveness, and drive improvementsMaintain accurate training records and reporting metricsTechnical Focus AreasElectric Vehicles (EV) systems (DC/AC systems, batteries, inverters, charging)High-voltage safety and handlingCAN diagnostics and troubleshootingComponent-level repairs and toolingGeneral automotive (ICE + EV) systemsQualifications2–5 years of automotive, EV, or autonomous vehicle experienceStrong knowledge of mechanical & electrical systemsExperience delivering technical training to diverse audiencesExcellent communication skills (technical → non-technical translation)Instructional design experience (training materials, guides, presentations)Proficiency with tools like Google Suite; familiarity with LMS, JIRA, SAP, etc.Preferred:ASE CertificationAC609 Certification (or willingness to obtain)Working ConditionsHands-on training in shop, warehouse, and outdoor environmentsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsHigh travel requirement (up to 75%)Interview Process30-minute Manager Interview (Zoom)1.5-hour Panel Interview (Onsite required)
