This leadership role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of item data while driving governance strategy and operational excellence.You will lead a team of Data Stewards, oversee data workflows, and serve as the final authority on data approvals. This role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance data governance frameworks and support business operations.Key ResponsibilitiesData Governance & OversightAct as the final approver for all new product item requests and data changesEnsure strict adherence to data governance policies and business rulesMaintain accountability for the quality, accuracy, and consistency of item master dataServe as the escalation point for complex data issues and policy exceptionsTeam LeadershipManage and develop a team of Data StewardsProvide coaching, training, and performance feedbackOversee daily operations and workflows to ensure efficiency and qualityEnsure service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently metStrategy & Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with teams such as IT, Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales to align data practices with business needsDevelop and evolve data governance standards and frameworksLead continuous improvement initiatives for data quality, processes, and documentationDefine and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data quality and operational performanceTools, Systems & ReportingCollaborate on the development of dashboards and reporting tools to monitor data quality and team performanceEnsure effective use of MDM and ERP systems to enforce governance standardsSupport enhancements to data management tools and processesCore CompetenciesLeadership and team developmentStrategic thinking and problem-solvingStakeholder influence and communicationStrong decision-making in high-impact scenariosQualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related fieldExperience5+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, or Data Quality2+ years of experience leading or managing data-focused teamsHands-on experience with item/product master data in ERP or MDM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Informatica, Stibo)Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of MDM principles and best practicesExperience with SQL or similar data querying toolsFamiliarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BIUnderstanding of how master data impacts downstream systems (Inventory, Purchasing, Finance, POS)What You’ll GetCollaborative and performance-driven work environmentOpportunities for professional growth and developmentCompetitive benefits including health coverage and retirement planPaid time off and holidaysThe chance to contribute to meaningful, large-scale infrastructure projects
