Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering is required with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.Experience in mechanical design for both development and production phases in aerospace or a similar industry is required.Project Technical Lead Experience Is Required.Demonstrated interpersonal skills and teamwork with internal teams and external customers.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including diplomatic issue resolution, is required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.Experience with Computer Aided Design (PTC CREO or Solidworks preferred)US citizenship required.Job DescriptionYou will be the Engineering & Technology Manager (ETM) for an Integrated Air and Missile Defense development program. Our team drives the development and production of missile systems and equipment, guaranteeing the highest performance and reliability for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control.What You Will Be DoingAs the ETM Lead, you will own the cost, schedule, and technical planning for Future Interceptor development while managing risk, opportunities, and all customer/supplier interfaces. You’ll set technical direction, enforce best in class processes, and champion the professional growth of a cross disciplinary engineering team, keeping the program ahead of expectations in a fast paced, collaborative environment.Your Responsibilities Will Include Direct cost, schedule, and technical planning for Future Interceptor development efforts Partner with Production Operations and Development Engineering IPTs to smoothly transition products into production. Lead development activities and reviews, including design assurance and system-level customer reviews. Lead investigation teams, diagnose technical anomalies, and deliver clear, actionable reports. Develop accurate Basis of Estimates (BOEs) to support new business proposals. Expand the team’s technical capability through gap assessments, training plans, and knowledge transfer initiatives.
