Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer with experience in Civil Engineering AND/OR Mechanical Design to support engineering, design, manufacturing, and operational initiatives within the steel industry. This role will contribute to projects involving heavy industrial equipment, structural systems, plant infrastructure, process improvements, and engineered steel products.The ideal candidate will possess strong technical problem-solving abilities and experience working in industrial, manufacturing, metals, or steel-related environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, analyze, and support engineering projects related to steel manufacturing operations, plant systems, equipment, or structural applicationsDevelop and review mechanical designs, layouts, drawings, specifications, and engineering calculationsSupport civil/structural engineering needs, including foundations, industrial structures, material handling systems, and facility upgradesCollaborate with operations, maintenance, production, and project management teams to improve safety, efficiency, and reliabilityAssist in equipment modifications, process optimization, and capital improvement projectsReview technical drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and engineering documentationEnsure designs and projects comply with applicable engineering standards, OSHA requirements, and industry regulationsParticipate in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for operational or mechanical issuesCoordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders on engineering initiativesQualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or related engineering discipline2+ years of engineering experience in steel, metals, heavy industrial, manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environmentsExperience with mechanical design, structural systems, industrial equipment, or plant engineeringProficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit, or similar)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and industrial plans
