This is the 8th time Sunrise has received this top culture and workplace designation, highlighting the special place Sunrise is to be a part of.The Dietary Aide is responsible for providing dining room services and/or tray delivery dining services to guests/residents in the community's Skilled Nursing Center in accordance with Sunrise Senior Living standards. Responsible for proper dining set-up, providing meal and dining services and cleaning of the Skilled Nursing Center dining room(s). Responsible for handling all foods in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards and complies with all federal, state and local regulatory procedures regarding food service.Essential DutiesAs a part of the Sunrise team, supporting our Mission, Principles of Service and Core Values is a fundamental part of this job. The unique responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the essential functions listed as follows:Prepares dining and tray service according to menus and follows therapeutic diet orders.Maintains knowledge of menu items and can provide general description to the guests/residents.Responsible for serving meals, beverages and requested items according to established dietary and skilled nursing guidelines.Responds to the dining needs of the guests/residents while maintaining Sunrise hospitality and service standards.Prepares and delivers snacks and nourishments as directed.Obtains food and supplies for meal service as directed.Maintains accurate records of guests/resident's dietary needs.Follows all local, state/provincial and federal policies regarding food handling.Maintains standards of cleanliness, hygiene and health standards.Core CompetenciesBuilding Customer LoyaltyBuilding TrustCommunicationContributing to Team SuccessManaging Work (includes Time Management)Planning and OrganizingQuality OrientationStress ToleranceTechnical / Professional KnowledgeExperience and QualificationsHigh School diploma / GED accepted and may be required per state/provincial regulationsMust be 18 years of agePrevious experience preferred in skilled nursing dining and/or long term care, assisted living or hospital diningAbility to handle multiple prioritiesPossess written and verbal skills for effective communicationAbility to read and follow instructions to meet the dietary needs of the guests/residentsCompetent in organizational, time management skillsDemonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skillsReady to take the next step and make a bigger impact than you ever imagined?
