Outbound Order Processing & Packaging Supervisor

As the Outbound Order Processing & Packaging Supervisor, you report to the Fulfillment Manager and make that promise real by directing product fabrication, order preparation and collation, packaging operations, and shipment processing and manifesting. You also shape the workspace and workflow so the team can do its best work.Your MissionDesign and steward a cohesive workflow that keeps work accurate, efficient, and timelyTranslate production schedule priorities into clear action for the floorPrioritize, facilitate, and expedite production activities to align with customer due datesEnsure reporting tools are complete and correctOversee data collection methods, accuracy, and reporting frequency across all metricsCollect and analyze performance data daily, weekly, monthly, and annually to validate workflow management and process improvementsLead continuous improvement, including workflow system developmentRecommend and develop future automated order picking systems and processesContinuously benchmark and track the latest shipping systems and small‑package delivery options to minimize freight expense to GSP and our customersProvide regular status updates to pertinent personnel and senior managementChampion productive partnerships between Fulfillment and other departmentsRefine, communicate, and govern department policies and proceduresEstablish and monitor training programs for both new and existing employeesImagine ThisIt’s Monday morning. A high‑priority order hits the queue with a tight deadline. You rebalance the plan, signal new priorities, and fast‑track the build through fabrication, prep, collation, and packaging. While the team executes, you validate the day’s metrics, confirm reporting accuracy, and choose the optimal small‑package carrier—minimizing freight expense to GSP and our customers—before releasing manifests.
