Western is passionate about innovation and quality, always striving to meet the diverse needs of industries worldwide. What You'll Do Oversee and coordinate production and daily assembly activities. Implement and monitor productivity improvements such as cycle time improvements and cost-cutting measures. Ensure all safety procedures and rules are followed and all safety issues are resolved. Supervise line leads and assembly personnel. Drive process improvements in areas of responsibility. Identify, analyze, and solve issues related to assembly processes. Plan, assign, and direct work, appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, address complaints, and resolve problems. Utilize all available resources to meet delivery dates and quality standards. Oversee, manage, and schedule personnel and activities of respective areas of responsibility. Demonstrate strong leadership by leading by example. Assist in developing, implementing, and sustaining a safety program and culture. Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills. Recruit, train, and coach employees. What You'll Need 3-5 years of manufacturing experience in operations, including medical or industrial assembly activities, as well as supervisory experience. Associate degree in Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration desired, but not required, relevant industry and job experience a must. Experience with the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. Working knowledge of medical and industrial assembly and testing, materials, quality programs, safety programs, and managing resources. Understanding of basic production planning and inventory concepts. Ability to drive positive change in all aspects of assembly operations using continuous improvement tools and methodologies, teamwork, and shop floor metrics. Effective communication skills with assembly personnel and plant management. Ability to read and understand blueprints. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
