Product Manager
About The RoleShipcom Wireless is looking for a Product Manager with an entrepreneurial mindset, who can drive product strategy, influence and inspire executives, and work with several other teams including project managers, customers, and sales in delivering a finished product.As a Product Manager, you will build the product roadmap, and vision for our SaaS based IoT software platform. You will be responsible for the life cycle of a product from beginning to end and grow the portfolio of products we have so far. You will conduct market research to design products that customers want and will compare our products to competitor’s products in order to assess competition in the market. You will gather requirements by working directly with end users and stakeholders, create wire-frame mock-ups, and coordinate the project details as directed through documentation, development, testing, and implementation.Shipcom Wireless is looking for a Product Manager who has demonstrated a track record of success in product management, experience in leading agile development teams while possessing a passion for creating value for for customers, through innovative technologies and trends.What You’ll Be Responsible ForBeing a player-coach who can engage and lead colleagues by setting examples, and giving guidance for new strategies of “out-of-the-box” thinkingCollaborate with key customers, industry stakeholders, and executives to define the vision, build and execute the product strategy and create the future of IoT productsResearch and monitor existing customers, industry trends and developments to identify potential new product opportunitiesPrioritize potential initiatives by demonstrating their alignment with our business strategy and the value to our current or future usersDesign innovative product solutions to customer goals, with a focus on ease-of-use, simplicity and capabilityDevelop user stories, manage the product backlog and prioritize them based on changing requirementsEnsure all aspects are completed in the Product Lifecycle: Feasibility, Design, Development, Testing, Technical Support and all Product Launch OperationsPossess ability to stick to timelines and measure progress during developmentServe as an ardent evangelist of the product to internal and external stakeholdersExpected Skills/QualificationsBachelor’s Degree is required from Engineering and/or Design backgrounds. Master’s is preferred5+ years of applicable experience in business systems analysis or product managementFamiliarity with Agile Scrum methodology is required. Scrum Master, 1 year (Preferred)Proficiency in Process Engineering methodologies and Change Management practicesExtensive experience managing and growing enterprise productsGreat interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written and presentation) that shine when you’re talking with a customer or engaging with cross-functional teamsDesire for creating value for the customer through innovation and simplicityStrong organizational skills and can multitask across teams, projects, and prioritiesBeing passionate about what you do and a get-things-done attitude to make your product and team successfulJob Type: Full TimeJob Location: Houston Shipcom HQ
