Electrical Engineering Lead
Perform installation, commissioning, acceptance testing, and preventive maintenance on low- and medium-voltage distribution equipment and substations
Test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment including: Circuit breakers (air, vacuum, and SF6), Power and distribution transformers, Protective relays and relay systems, Switchgear and switchboards, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Motor Control Centers (MCCs), Power cables and termination, Control wiring and associated components
Conduct insulation resistance testing, relay calibration, breaker timing, transformer testing, and cable testing
Interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical manuals
Ensure compliance with industry standards including National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 70E) and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations
Adhere strictly to company testing procedures, safety policies, and service protocols
Document test results, service reports, and equipment conditions accurately and thoroughly
Identify potential system issues and recommend corrective actions or upgrades
Qualifications
5+ years of hands on experience installing, maintaining, testing & repairing electrical equipment for power distribution system and substations.
5+ years in general Power Service engineering experience
Extensive safety training and diligent adherence to safe working practices.
Capable of troubleshooting distribution and transmission controls circuits
Ability to work independently without need for direct supervision
Able to direct a team of technicians to provide effective testing and maintenance services
