ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
SUMMARY: The Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises is currently searching for a part-time employee to work on establishing Aerospace Engineering Departmental computational capability with the open-source Computational Fluid Dynamics code-family "OpenFoam" under the supervision of Dr. Michael Ol and Dr. Pejman Akbari.
SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):
The part-time employee will work independently and will also assist students, faculty and associates with the following tasks: post-processing of model geometry; definition of boundary conditions; creation and refinement of computational grids; data-management and post-processing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
Experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics.
Excellent English verbal communication and writing skills.
Responsible and dependable.
Ability to work well with various people including students, faculty, staff, and high-level administrators.
Motivated, innovative, and shows initiative.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and instructional design with Canvas and Kaltura.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience using OpenFoam
