Civil 3D Designer

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Civil 3D Designer (Energy & Utilities) . This remote-based role is posted and available for candidates not local to an existing Farnsworth Group location. What You’ll Do Preparing topographic and civil alignment/profile and utility drawings, as well as occasional work on other engineering discipline's drawings. Preparing civil based drawings, as well as occasional facility and/or process piping drawings. Preparing easement exhibits with guidance from a licensed surveyor. Assist with proposal development by providing estimated hours to complete the scope of work. Mentor junior CAD staff. Supervise junior CAD staff, a plus. Provide QA/QC of CAD design team deliverables including review and feedback of the respective native design files. Collaborate with the CAD design team including implementation of processes and procedures for continual improvement. Execute multi-discipline projects including collaboration with Project Managers, Engineering Leads, and/or other CAD staff including CADWorx designers. Prepare civil and mechanical based as-built drawings. What You’ll Need Associates or Technical Degree in Computer Aided Drafting/Design, or similar field BS in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Petroleum Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum, a plus 10+ years of experience using AutoCAD Civil3D to design and prepare construction drawings.
