This role provides executive leadership over all finance and accounting functions while serving as a key advisor to the CEO, Owners/Shareholders, and Executive Leadership Team.The CFO plays a critical role in driving long-term financial planning, ensuring strong internal controls, supporting growth initiatives, and scaling financial operations across a multi-entity healthcare organization.Key ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesExecutive Financial LeadershipServe as the senior financial executive responsible for financial strategy, vision, and long-term planningAdvise the CEO, COO, Owners/Shareholders, and executive leadership on financial risks, growth opportunities, and business decisionsDevelop and execute financial strategies that support organizational goals, operational efficiency, and sustainable growthPresent financial results, forecasts, and strategic insights to the Board and executive leadershipAccounting & Financial Operations OversightProvide executive oversight of all accounting functions, including:Annual audits and year-end closeAccounts receivable, billing, and collectionsAccounts payable and payrollGeneral ledger and financial reportingInternal controls and accounting policiesMulti-entity accounting and financial consolidationGAAP compliance and regulatory reportingBanking, Treasury & Cash ManagementOversee banking relationships, treasury operations, and cash flow managementApprove banking structures, credit facilities, authorized signers, and risk controlsManage debt, financing arrangements, and capital structure to support growthFinancial Reporting & GovernanceEnsure accurate, timely, and compliant financial statementsEstablish and maintain strong financial controls, policies, and governance frameworksOversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packagesEnsure compliance with GAAP, audit standards, and regulatory requirementsContract & Revenue AdministrationProvide financial oversight of contract terms, pricing models, and revenue structuresEnsure contracts align with financial policies and compliance requirementsOversee financial risk assessments related to contracts and revenue streamsFinancial Systems & TechnologyProvide strategic leadership over financial systems, reporting tools, and data governanceApprove system upgrades, integrations, and automation initiativesEnsure scalability, data integrity, and reporting accuracyTax Strategy & ComplianceOversee year-end close and coordination with external tax advisorsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirementsLead tax planning strategies to optimize the organization's tax positionBudgeting, Forecasting & Strategic AnalysisLead annual budgeting and long-term financial planning processesDevelop multi-year financial models, forecasts, and scenario planningSupport investment decisions, capital allocation, and valuation analysisPerform financial analysis requested by Owners/Shareholders and executive leadershipRisk Management & ComplianceIdentify financial, operational, and strategic risksDevelop mitigation strategies and oversee insurance programsEnsure appropriate safeguards, controls, and regulatory complianceLeadership & CollaborationLead, mentor, and develop finance and accounting teamsFoster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvementPartner cross-functionally with department leaders to support business initiativesCommunicate financial policies, updates, and best practices across the organizationParticipate in executive meetings, strategic planning, and company functionsTravel as required and participate in customer and prospective customer meetingsSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseQualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fieldMinimum 5+ years in a CFO - Chief Financial Officer or equivalent executive finance leadership roleExtensive knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and corporate financeProven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planningStrong strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skillsExperience managing multi-entity or multi-location healthcare / therapy or allied health operationsAbility to operate at both strategic and hands-on levelsPreferred:MBA and/or CPAProgressive Leadership experience within healthcare organizationsDemonstrated commitment to healthcare finance leadership
